Privacy Policy
Last updated: [Effective date]
This Privacy Policy explains how [LOTG legal entity name] (“LOTG”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the LOTG mobile app and the lotg.app website (together, the “Service”). LOTG is a Decision Intelligence training platform for football referees, currently operating as an invite-only private beta.
Data we collect
- Account & profile data — name, email address, username and avatar, collected when you sign up via magic-link email or Google/Apple Sign-In.
- Decision Evidence— the Scenarios you're shown, the Decisions you make and how long you take. This is the core training data that powers your Skill Profile and Adaptive Learning.
- Progression data — XP, levels, Career Tier, Achievements, streaks and Learning Cycle history.
- Social data — friends, Friend Challenges and any Community you join, plus content you choose to make visible on your profile.
- Usage & device data — app and website analytics events, device type and diagnostic data, used to keep the Service reliable and to understand product usage in aggregate.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the Service, including your account and progression.
- To personalise your training through the Adaptive Learning Engine, based on your accumulated Decision Evidence.
- To operate the social and competitive features — Friend Challenges, Communities and Leaderboards — with scoring computed server-side to keep it fair.
- To send push notifications about your training (via OneSignal) and, where you agree to receive them, product updates.
- To detect abuse, prevent cheating and moderate reported content.
- To improve LOTG's content and training model over time.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. We share it only with the service providers who help us run LOTG, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing that service:
- Supabase — hosts our database and authentication.
- OneSignal — delivers push notifications.
- Google / Apple — provide social sign-in, if you choose to use it.
If LOTG is used through a County FA, academy or other organisation, that organisation may see aggregate participation data, but never your individual Decision Evidence or Skill Profile.
How long we keep it
Decision Evidence is kept as an immutable historical record for as long as your account is active, since your long-term progression is calculated from it. Account data is retained while your account exists and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after you close it, except where we need to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@lotg.app. LOTG is currently in an early stage and these requests are handled manually rather than through self-serve account tools — we aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
LOTG is not directed at children under [minimum age]. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and where a change is material we'll let you know in the app.
