Terms of Service
Last updated: [Effective date]
These Terms govern your use of the LOTG mobile app and the lotg.app website (together, the “Service”), provided by [LOTG legal entity name] (“LOTG”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The Service
LOTG is a Decision Intelligence training platform for football referees. It presents realistic Scenarios, records the Decisions you make, and uses that evidence to build a personalised, adaptive training plan. LOTG is a training tool: it does not certify, qualify or license you as a referee, and it is not a substitute for your official refereeing courses, assessments or governing-body qualifications.
Private beta
The Service is currently offered as an invite-only private beta. Features, content and availability may change or be withdrawn at any time without notice, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted access during this stage.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
- You must be at least [minimum age] to use the Service.
- One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account until you tell us it's been compromised.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Manipulate, automate or otherwise exploit Decisions, timing, XP, leaderboards, Friend Challenges or Achievements outside of normal use.
- Use an abusive, impersonating or misleading username, avatar or Community name.
- Attempt to access another user's account or non-public data.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
We rely partly on community reporting to catch abusive profile or Community names, and act on reports through human review. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.
XP, Levels, Career Tiers and Achievements
XP, Levels, Career Tiers, Appointments, Achievements and Badges are gamified progression and recognition inside LOTG. They reflect your consistency, effort and engagement with training — they are not, and must never be treated as, evidence of your official real-world refereeing grade, qualification or appointment.
Content and ownership
Scenarios, Decision content, badges, branding and the LOTG platform itself are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own training. You retain ownership of the profile content you add (such as your username or avatar), and grant us the licence needed to display it within the Service — for example, on Leaderboards and to your friends.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service or a beta wave.
Disclaimer & liability
The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, during an active private beta. To the extent permitted by law, [LOTG legal entity name] is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page, and where a change is material we'll let you know in the app.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing law jurisdiction].
